With over 30 years of experience in delivering social services, Fundația FARA – an accredited provider – is helping to build a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Through its programmes, FARA contributes to improving the quality of life, strengthening social cohesion, and promoting shared responsibility in some of Romania’s poorest communities.

Inspired by the values, simplicity, and vision of its remarkable founder, Jane Nicholson, a dedicated team of over 100 professionals work every day with one shared goal:
to turn the impossible into possible and transform the lives of the most vulnerable children, young people, and families.

Investing in the Future

Fundația FARA invests in children and young people – in those without families, in young people with disabilities, and in those with little or no chance of living a decent and dignified life. Through integrated models of support, the organisation helps build skills and resilience, enabling individuals to take responsibility for their own lives and to break the cycle of poverty.

FARA’s practical and people-centred programmes reach hundreds of vulnerable children, young people, adults, and communities across Romania. With the right support, they become active participants in the transformation of their own lives.

FARA builds bridges between individuals and communities who share similar struggles. Children, young people, and community members are encouraged to take part in educational, recreational, sports and self-care activities – together, in an inclusive community environment.
