For 30 years, FARA Foundation’s services have existed in response to social needs and continue to evolve in real time alongside them.
FARA’s mission is to support as many vulnerable children, young people, and adults as possible — including those with disabilities or without family care — so they can live and grow in a safe and nurturing environment.
Most often, our beneficiaries face challenges such as separation from their biological families, lack of parental care and love, poverty, marginalization, discrimination, school dropout, domestic violence, abuse and neglect, disabilities, bullying, mental health issues, and more.
Currently, we provide support to vulnerable children, young people, adults, and their families living near the areas where we operate: Popești-Leordeni (Ilfov County), Suceava, Fălticeni, and Satu Mare.
Our Beneficiaries Include:
- Children and adolescents from poor families at risk of school dropouts
- Children without parental care, under social protection measures
- Vulnerable young people facing homelessness
- Young people transitioning out of the child protection system toward independent living
- Young people and adults with disabilities coming from state institutions
- Poor and marginalized families and communities
- Professionals and organizations in relevant fields (education, health, social work, community development, etc.)
