The conference “Zero Tolerance for Abuse, Exploitation, Violence, and Humiliating Treatment in the Family, at School, and in the Community” brought to the forefront the realities faced by children and adolescents. These issues were rigorously discussed by experts and professionals from Bulgaria, Hungary, the Republic of Moldova, and Romania.
The inauguration of the Inclusiv TU playground, part of the “Rafael” Therapy and Recovery Center for children with disabilities in Popești-Leordeni, marked a significant step in promoting social inclusion by creating an accessible and welcoming environment for all children, regardless of their abilities.
The drawing, painting, and collage competition themed “Zero Tolerance for Bullying” aimed to raise awareness about bullying and promote a zero-tolerance attitude toward it. Through their artwork, children and adolescents were invited to express their thoughts and perspectives on this important issue.

Specialized literature aimed at improving the quality of life for children and young people with disabilities.

The association Pro ACT Suport, in partnership with FARA Foundation, Speranța Empowerment Foundation, and the International Organization for Democracy and Human Rights Norway, received funding of €149,996 through the Active Citizens Fund Romania for the implementation of the project DARE: Development, Abilities, Resilience, and Equity for Independent Living for People with Disabilities.
The project was implemented between March 1, 2022, and August 31, 2023, with a total value of €196,606.

The DARE project addresses the gap in the continuum of services for people with disabilities, both those in residential systems and those at risk of (re)institutionalization.
The beneficiaries are individuals with disabilities who have experienced institutionalization and are now choosing to build their lives within the community. They receive individualized and tailored support to develop autonomy and the ability to live responsibly and independently — paying rent and utilities, maintaining their homes, cooking, building a social support network, and organizing their daily lives.

The project’s goal is to develop advocacy activities by coordinating resources, leveraging the experience of NGOs and professionals, and drawing on the lived experiences of people with disabilities. The aim is to promote social inclusion, support independent living in the community, and increase their capacity and participation in decision-making processes that affect their lives.
